Scott Mallory is thrilled to be doing afternoons on Highway 98.1 Country from 3p-7p. Back in the day, he did mornings on the station for over five years, but returned to be with family in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. He has a son who’s a film major at the University of Cincinnati and a daughter who’s hoping to be a professional, soccer goalie one day! Mallory loves both children, but feels they’re “crazy and dramatic” thanks to their mother (don’t worry Mallory and their mother actually parent well together…now – LOL). Mallory also has a rescue mutt named Byron or BBoy. The pup is actually a zombie who was legally expired for over two minutes when he had a reaction to the anesthesia from surgery to remove “the boys.” Luckily, Little BBoy did not go into the light permanently and is now better than every!
Mallory spent over a year and a half trying to get back to the incredible people and beautiful beaches of The Emerald Coast. Just as he was going to throw in the towel, JVC Broadcasting swooped in, bought Highway 98.1 Country, and brought him back!! He is so happy doing Sales during the day (call him to advertise and grow your business at 850-654-1000) and then being live and local on the radio! Mallory’s hobbies include being a movie freak, hitting the beach and visiting Universal Studios with his kids, writing and self-publishing books, and searching for a rich, attractive woman with low expectations. So far no luck, which is a good thing since he’s been told by management that a 100,000 watt station that plays Today’s Best Country isn’t a dating app.
