I’ve been doing the 10-3 shift since I joined the Highway 98 team in February of 2012. I’ve been working in the radio business for ten years, in markets including Seattle/Tacoma, WA; Tucson, AZ; and Auburn, AL, but –believe it or not, this is my first country gig! Although I consider myself to be more “Rocker Chick” than “Country Girl,” I must say that I am having the time of my life!
Our listeners are the absolute best, and I truly enjoy talking to you on the phone and on Facebook, as well as meeting you face-to-face at events.
When I’m not in the studio, I also serve as Promotions Director, helping to coordinate live broadcasts, events, and other appearances for all four of our Apex Broadcasting stations. I will do pretty much anything to help these stations succeed (even dressing like a leg lamp if the situation calls for it).
I’ve also previously worked as a TV reporter, which was my dream career since I was a little girl. While I enjoyed covering some interesting stories and interviewing some pretty well-known people (including then-Senator Barack Obama!), I slowly realized that my heart belonged to radio.
Life’s way too short to not absolutely love what you do, so I followed my passion, music. It’s in my blood. After all, I am named after an Eric Clapton song!If my first passion is radio, my second love is travel. I’m a huge baseball fan, too.
The hubby and I are just a few ballparks short of our goal to watch a game in all 30 MLB stadiums. I survive the off-season by cheering on my beloved Auburn Tigers. Besides keeping a pet husband, I have two sweet dogs, Mitch and Ellie, and two cockatiels, Butters and Woody.
